Robert Holmes

Robert Holmes Jr. is entering his first season as an assistant football coach for the Liberty Hurricanes Freshman Football team.  Coach Holmes has been coaching football for eight years, with this year at LHS being his ninth.  He served as an assistant youth level coach for East Side Youth Center 2005-2010 and as a running back and offensive/defensive coordinator with the Easton Lil' Red Rovers from 2011-2014.  Born in Easton, PA. Coach Holmes is a graduate of Wilson High in 1989.  He played football for Wayne "Knobby" Grube from 1985-1988.  Also a track star for WHS, Coach Holmes was a state finals elect placing seventh overall in the 400 meter dash in 89.  Coach Holmes accepted an invitation to play semi-pro football for the 1995-98 Lehigh Valley Outlaws where he was a running back, tight end, and a defensive back.  Coach Holmes is a Personal Fitness Trainer at Gold's Gym Bethlehem, Sports Management World Wide Scout, and is a proud father of three and husband to Liberty Grad Tami L. Holmes.  He hopes to become a mentoring figure to young athletes and instill his passion of football and life's success into the Hurricane football program.
